Palm Coast, FL – Reps. Ron DeSantis (FL-06), Chairman of the Subcommittee on National Security, and Mark Meadows (NC-11), Chairman of the Subcommittee on Government Operations, sent a letter to Oscar Munoz, Chief Executive Officer of United Airlines, demanding answers regarding the troubling record of pet safety at United.

"Our pets are not simply another piece of cargo, they are members of our family," DeSantis said. "With 75% of animal deaths in 2017 occurring on United Airlines, I am concerned that United's current policies are not doing enough to protect customer's dogs and other pets."
