Palm Coast, FL – President Donald Trump has signed S. 114, a bill to authorize appropriations for the Veterans Choice Program, into law. Additionally, this bill authorizes funding for the outpatient clinic located in Daytona Beach, Fla.
“Ensuring that our veterans receive the best care possible is a high priority, and I am glad that Congress has authorized the necessary funds to build a new clinic to serve the veteran community in Daytona Beach,” DeSantis said. “While further reforms to the Veterans Choice program remain necessary, this continued funding will help to ensure that veterans in the program are able to access the care they need.”
DeSantis recently signed a letter to Veterans Affairs Secretary David Shulkin and Office of Management and Budget Director Mick Mulvaney asking them to move forward on immediately authorizing the Daytona CBOC lease. This letter complemented similar efforts from last Congress, including a letter to the House Committee on Veterans Affairs.
