Washington, DC – Today, Rep. Ron DeSantis (FL-06), sent a letter to the Acting Secretary of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Sloan Gibson, with questions regarding the status of the VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in St. Augustine, Florida. A copy of the letter can be found here. Chairman of the House Committee on Veterans Affairs, Rep. Jeff Miller (FL-01), and Sen. Marco Rubio (FL) joined DeSantis in expressing concern that veterans in St. Johns County receive uninterrupted care during the CBOC–s transition to a new facility. DeSantis issued the following statement:

“The VA clinic in St. Augustine serves more than 5,000 veterans and ensuring that our veterans continue to receive medical care is one of my top priorities. I look forward to working with Acting Secretary Gibson to protect the care and services that Florida–s veterans deserve and I appreciate Senator Rubio and Chairman Miller for joining me in this effort.”?
