St. Augustine, Fla. – Rep. Ron DeSantis (FL-06) today joined with six law enforcement entities at the St. Johns County Sheriff Office in St. Augustine for a law enforcement summit. Representatives from the State Attorney’s Office, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the St. Johns, Flagler, Putnam and Volusia County Sheriff’s Offices joined Rep. DeSantis to discuss the law enforcement services provided to the residents and visitors of Florida’s sixth congressional district.

“The law enforcement community deserves our utmost respect. We as American’s cannot thank them enough for their service every single day to protect our families and our freedoms,” said Rep. DeSantis. “I look forward to working hand-in-hand with our law enforcement community and doing everything in my power to ensure that they have the tools they need to protect and serve the citizens of the 6th district.”

Topics discussed at the meeting ranged from crime prevention, to citizen protection and other criminal justice issues.

“We appreciate Congressman DeSantis sitting down with us today and hearing ideas on how local law enforcement entities can be the most effective in tackling the issues we are faced with.
