Washington, DC – Rep. Ron DeSantis (FL-06) issued the following statement on the decision to drop the border adjustment tax (BAT) from the tax package:

"The border adjustment tax is problematic as a matter of economic policy and politically divisive such that its inclusion jeopardizes the ability of Congress to pass tax reform.  I am thrilled that the leaders in the House and Senate have decided to drop the BAT from the tax reform package.  This decision clears the way for Congress to enact bold, pro-growth tax reform."
